Oseas Kline seeks to infuse his music with an overwhelming sense of emotion that evokes a vision of a spiritual, natural world. At least, that is the premise of the story he is trying to tell with his 2018 release, Kota. Musically, Kline finds influence in the music of Porter Robinson, Daydreamer, Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, and Madeon. Drawing from art inspirations ranging from anime, to literature, to video games and movies, Kline strength lies in his ability to tell a story through the flow of a song. This begs the question then, what is the story behind Kota? And what is Kota.
The simpler question is the latter, she is Kota:
As for her story, that will be explored through the next EP, the following album, and a series of animations produced in collaboration with British animator and director, Howard Wimshurst. Combined with an explosive live set and a dynamic DJ set, Kline will be touring for the rest of 2018 and 2019.
